PITER CASE

Tatyana Kuzovchikova

From 30 October to 2 November 2017, the Bolshoi Puppet Theatre (BTK) conducts PITER CASE, which precedes the main program of BTK-FEST. In the framework of PITER CASE, international theatre producers and managers will see productions of St. Petersburg theatres. The goal of the project is to introduce the colleagues from abroad to the most interesting and essential events in the field of visual theatre of St. Petersburg. This year the following theatres are taking part in the festival: the Bolshoi Puppet Theatre, AKHE Russian Engineering Theatre, theatre companies Karlsson Haus, Beyond the Black River, and KUKFO. The program continues the tradition of the Russian Case festival (2015), which had a great success: the colleagues from abroad expressed their interest in further familiarizing themselves with recent Russian productions.

We are glad to bring to your attention five major names of the PITER CASE program which define the modern day of puppet and visual theatre of St. Petersburg: Ruslan Kudashov, Anna Viktorova, Yana Tumina, Alexei Lelyavsky, and AKHE Russian Engineering Theatre.
