The Sakhalin Puppet Theater is one of the cultural brands of the island region of Russia. Created in 1981, a small group of enthusiasts, he quickly came to the international level, receiving the recognition of his colleagues, critics and, most importantly, the audience. The Sakhalin Puppet Theater has two stages in small and large halls. Annually in the theater there are more than 400 shows of performances. Over 50 000 spectators a year come to favorite theater. With tours the troupe has visited in Europe and Asia. Sakhalin actors and dolls repeatedly became laureates of international festivals.
