Tyumen puppet theatre

The Tyumen puppet theater is slightly younger than the Tyumen region: its actual birth took place on December 22, 1945.  And now more than 70 years, season after season, there have been performances for children and adults in the most diverse genre – dolls, masks, and “living plan”.

An interesting period in the life of the Tyumen puppet was the early 80’s, when the troupe was headed by Anatoly Tuchkov. It was a time of special popularity of performances for the adult audience, conditioned by the desire of the puppeteers to expand opportunities for self-realization and the demands of the times.

Young creative team creates new traditions, forms a repertoire that preserves classical values and responds to the trends of the 21st century. A variety of activities, the universality of performing opportunities, appeal to viewers of any age is the present day of the Tyumen Puppet Theater.
